About the CNA School (CNA Class)

• CAL ACE Nursing Academy offers CNA classes or Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP) also known as Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Program is comprised of 60 hours of theory sessions with exams each module that is accomplished outside class hours, and 100 hours of CNA Program with clinical skills in either a skilled nursing facility, or in classroom. This 160-hour CNA class prepares individual students to provide direct hands-on care for clients under the supervision of a licensed professional nurse. Both the theory and clinical CNA skills will be audited by the State, and a student is required to pass both for them to receive the certification after completing the CNA school.
• ACCREDITATION: The CAL ACE CNA schoold is accredited by the California Department of Public Health with Provider Identification Training Number ELS 41 which is effective until 11/18/2023, (renewable every 2 years).

• Zoom app - This is downloadable for free from AppStore or Google Play. A student can also use Zoom on browser by typing www.zoom.us

Required Hours to Pass: 160 Hours (29 Days Total including Make up Classes)

• 1 hour orientation (Initially scheduled on NOVEMBER 8th, 2022 - AM Class is 9:00am and PM Class is 5:00 pm)
• 60 theory hours schedule: (synchronous online using Zoom video interaction)
• 100 clinical skill hours which are in-person interaction at a skilled nursing facility or in-classroom training with fellow classmates or with a life-size medical training mannequin.

Course Fees: $1,648 (Includes BLS Certification, ID, Uniform & Digital Book)

• Registration fee is $200 (Non-refundable) on or before NOVEMBER 8th, 2022

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old
• Resides in California
• Has Tax ID Number or Social Security Number (SSN not a requirement, ITIN is accepted)
• Has California ID, or Driver's license, or Green Card, or your country's Passport
• Facilities and Hospitals will require: BLS, Covid 19 immunizations, and Negative TB Test result or Chest Xray
• State will require: DOJ Fingerprint/Background check form completed, Form 238B, Testing Center Application Form and Testing Fee (separate payment to the Testing Center) $120 in Money order or Cashier's check

Coursework and Module Practice Tests

• There may have coursework and research tasks to accomplish and maybe required by the instructors to submit on a per module basis. Submission deadlines shall be emphasized and scheduled by the Instructor or Registrar, if any.
• Practice Tests maybe administered by the Instructors to help students familiarize with the written exam to be administered by the State representatives. Practice Tests are accomplished outside the 60 theory hours.

Training Program Length: 8 Weeks

• The 60 hours of theory hours will be from Monday through Friday at 5pm to 9pm, that is 4 hours daily for 5 days for 3 weeks.
• The 100 hours of clinical skills portion shall be Saturday and Sunday after all the theory sessions. Clinical skills will be 8 hours a day from 7am to 3:30 pm for 5 weekends and a couple of flexi-Weekdays

Location of the Program

• The theory portion is online synchronous and students can be in their own homes, coffee shop, library or ANYWHERE, students are also welcome to show up in person in the school labs, however needed to be logged in online.
• The clinical sites are Canyon Springs Post Acute Care, White Blossoms Care Center, Eastwood Healthcare, Sunny Side HealthCare Center Pleasanton Skilled Nursing, Lincoln Glen Skilled Nursing, Cupertino Healthcare Center, and A-Grace Sub Acute. Additional facilities shall be included soon.
